Business Meeting December 3, 2011 |

NEWS from Trev Deeley Motorcycles (Chapter Sponsor):
Good Morning, after many years of dedication to the Vancouver Chapter H.O.G., Vern and Diane Bye have announced that they are stepping down as officers. They have asked that I read the following to you:
To the HOG Family and Friends:
Years ago when both the Anderson family and Dan McNeil welcomed Diane and I into that tiny boardroom, we had no idea the friends and family we would gain. Later when we became officers, the help and support from the Deeley's staff and H.O.G. members were unbelievable. Diane and I would like to thank the Trev Deeley staff, past and present, but most of all the officers and members of the H.O.G. Chapter for without you the chapter would not be where it is today. After many hours of discussion, Diane and I have come to the difficult decision to step down as officers. This does not mean we are leaving the Chapter for we are and will always be Vancouver H.O.G. members. So in the future, when our paths cross and they will, lets swap stories, share a laugh or best of all, just go for a ride.
Vern and Diane Bye
Darwin introduced Terry Sue, as the new Director of the Vancouver Chapter H.O.G.
Darwin also announced that to express thanks to the Executive Committee and the H.O.G. Chapter, Trev Deeley Motorcycles hosted a brunch following the meeting.
Terry continued speaking on behalf of the store with the following information:
The Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada team made up of 30 teams raised $95,739 for Movember. Trev Deeley’s team came in 4th raising $6,298. Thank you to all those who helped out and supported this worthwhile cause.

A great time was had by all. It was suggested that we hold next year’s Christmas Party at this same venue. Four couples took advantage of staying at the Hotel for the night.
The “HOG The Road” contest ended on Nov 5. The grand winner with the most kilometres ridden in 2011, was Ralph McKnight. Ralph rode 18,500 kilometers. The second winner was Brian Morita with a total mileage of 17,000. Each of these gentlemen won a new set of tires from Trev Deeley Motorcycles.
NEW BUSINESS:
Santa Claus is making an appearance, so that you can get your annual “Photo with Santa Claus” picture. This year the pictures are available by donation, and the proceeds will be going to the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau. This year, we must thank Chris Greenwood, for volunteering to dress up as “St Nick”.
This year, we collected almost $1000.00 in donations to sponsor needy families for Christmas. Your executive will be making arrangements to distribute these donations on behalf of the Vancouver H.O.G. Chapter between now and Dec 25.
The new issue of the H.O.G. magazine once again features several photos by our own Konstantin Egorov. One of those photos is the front cover feature of the magazine.
As you heard earlier, we have a number of positions on the Executive that are vacant. Due to the fact that Terry Sue is now our Director, that leaves the Assistant Director position open.
Konstantin Egorov has agreed to move from Activities Officer to Photographer. And Henry Wong, a long time member of the Vancouver H.O.G. Chapter has stepped forward to fill the Historian position. This is not a new position for Henry, as he was the Historian a number of years ago. We are looking for anyone who would like to step forward to fill any of the vacant positions. Or, if you know of anyone within the chapter who you feel would be an asset to the Chapter, please forward all names to Terry Sue, Director, Chris Ferguson, Secretary, Darwin Osarchuk, Manager of Trev Deeley Motorcycles.
