Trev Deeley Motorcycles has an opening for a Red Seal/Senior Technician with current qualifications. This position entails repair, customization, maintenance, and diagnosis Harley-Davidson® motorcycles.

Summary and Job Description:
- Complete service, repair, and maintenance of Harley-Davidson® motorcycles
- Communicate effectively in writing diagnosis, recommendations, and required parts with front line employees and the Parts department
- Consistently work in a safe manner, and identify any unsafe conditions
- Identify and document all potential issues on motorcycles being worked on
- Test ride as required while wearing a high visibility vest and DOT helmet
- Complete all paperwork in a legible fashion in accordance with shop policies
- Maintain a clean and safe work space, leaving their work space in a clean state at the end of every day
- Label and locate all in work parts in accordance with existing shop policies
- Box, tag and locate take-off parts in appropriate areas
- Complete general shop duties as required by the Shop Supervisor
- Work in the Express Lane Service
- Supply tool necessary to complete routine service work, and use shop supplied tools in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Maintain technical qualifications by completing training programs assigned by the Shop Supervisor; Remain current on the PHD factory training program.
- Participate in personal development coaching
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
- Completion of factory authorized formal training program or equivalent post secondary training
- Valid unrestricted Class 6 license or equivalent Motorcycle license from another jurisdiction
- Clean and professional appearance
- Genuine interest in customer service and satisfaction
- Motorsport enthusiasm
- Technicians are required to own a basic set of tools that enable them to properly diagnose and service Harley-Davidson® motorcycles
- Technicians will be required to operate motorcycles during inclement weather
- Flexible working days and hours
- Willingness to learn, upgrade and share technical knowledge
- Journeyman are expected to mentor apprentices
- All staff are expected to be willing to participate in events as required by the dealership, this may include events outside of normal work hours or at a location other than Trev Deeley Motorcycles

Summary Description
The Service Technicians job is to complete repairs, maintenance and customization of customer and dealer owned motorcycles with a high level of quality while helping maintain a smooth running shop and keeping up to date with ongoing learning.
Key Results Area
Service technicians are expected to work under the guidance of the Certified technicians in the shop and will be evaluated on billed hours produced, overall attitude, contributions to the team, quality of workmanship, comeback percentage and ongoing training accomplishments.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete service, repair, and maintenance of Harley Davidson motorcycles.
- Communicate effectively with service front staff regarding work being done.
- Competently use DealerVu, Partsmart, Digital Tech and other software necessary to effectively repair Harley Davidson motorcycles.
- Consistently work in a safe manner and identify unsafe conditions.
- Test ride vehicles as required always wearing a DOT helmet and following the local laws of the road.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, leaving presentable at the end of each workday.
- Label and locate all take off parts as needed.
- Complete general shop duties as noted on the maintenance schedule set by the Service Manager.
- Maintain current with all relevant HDU courses.
- Participate in shop and dealership events.
Qualifications, Commitments & Job Requirements
- Factory Harley Davidson training or equivalent post-secondary motorcycle repair training.
- Technicians are required to own a basic set of tools that enable them to properly diagnose and service modern Harley Davidson motorcycles.
- Technicians are required to operate motorcycles during inclement weather.

This position is from April-October 2025, approximately 20 hrs/week.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Service and Retail Sales
- Ensure retail sales area is ready to serve customers at the start of the day.
- Greet customers immediately in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Provide excellent customer service to walk-in and telephone customers.
- Handle telephone and over the counter transactions quickly and courteously.
- Monitor Merchandise email for any new sales leads or correspondence.
- Assist customers with their selection of merchandise and read what their needs and wants are.
- Point out any sales, specials, or new merchandise to customers.
- Keep up to date on the features, functions and benefits of all merchandise.
- View H-DNet daily to stay current with any information released by Harley-Davidson Canada.
- Possess the ability to work with several customers at one time and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy, a positive attitude and know when to pass customer on to manager.
- Ensure all customers in retail sales area have been helped and are finished their business before cashing out.
- Proceed with closing procedures and deliver cash tills to safe room.
Maintenance of Merchandise Showroom
- Maintain clean and current displays of merchandise in which to appeal to customers.
- Keep reception/cash counters neat and organized.
- Help tag and merchandise new product when required.
- Keep showroom fully stocked as some categories are not restocked on a daily basis.Participate in cycle counting of all merchandise.
- Note items you feel are needed or should be increased or decreased to the Merchandise Manager.
Training/Events
- Attend Departmental and Inter-Departmental meetings when required.
- Stay up to date on training to keep current with merchandising trends and product knowledge.
- Help with special events when needed.
- Treat all co-workers, associates and customers fairly, courteously, and with dignity.
- Be prompt and available for flexible scheduling.
- Be honest and fair in all business dealings.
- Present an upbeat, friendly, outgoing personality to staff and customers.
- Demonstrate genuine care and interest for growth towards the Merchandise Department.
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
- Friendly outgoing personality.
- Schooling or experience in merchandising and retail sales.
- Experience with Point-of-Sale and computerized inventory systems.
- Knowledge of Harley-Davidson riding apparel and merchandise.
- Continue to build on training and product knowledge.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and walk the sales floor for most of the day.
- Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach and possibly lift 40 pound boxes of merchandise.
