Position Overview:
As a Shipper/Receiver, you will play a key role in ensuring that all products, parts, and motorcycles are received accurately, stored properly, and distributed efficiently. You will also be responsible for shipping customer orders in a timely manner, while keeping the shipping and receiving area organized and clean.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record all parts, merchandise, and motorcycles.
- Create PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) work orders for new motorcycles.
- Prepare and ship bikes, parts, and merchandise to customers.
- Handle currency conversion and customs brokerage for international shipments.
- Address issues with overages, incorrect orders, and short shipments.
- Store and retrieve motorcycles from storage as needed.
- Uncrate and crate motorcycles as part of inventory management.
- Perform local deliveries and drop-offs.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and audits.
- Immediately report any product or motorcycle damage.
- Manage snow removal and salting duties during the winter months.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving.
- Certified forklift operator.
- Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driver’s License (Class 6 is a plus).
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic mathematics and computer proficiency.
- Positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with motorcycle parts and vehicle mechanical components.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
- Work in a service area with exposure to loud noise.
- Handle vehicle batteries, tires, oils, and lubricants.
- Crate and move large motorcycles.
- Permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week).
- 8-hour workday.
