From Leeds UK to Vancouver BC, Meet the man behind the accent.
I’ve always had a passion for two wheels and have ridden mountain bikes since I was 4, my dad was a huge cyclist and motorcycle rider so it was natural for me to do this also.
I raced mountain bikes competitively from ages 14-16 and then I started riding motorcycles at 16 as soon as I could get my licence, it only allowed me to ride a 50cc though, so at 17 I got a 125cc and after 2 years I moved to my first big bike a Honda VFR 800.
After 6 months I picked up a Ducati 749s as this was my dream bike that I had wanted ever since watching Moto GP as a kid.
I did 40k miles on the VFR in the two years I owned it including many trips around the UK and over to France and Switzerland I eventually traded it in for an Aprilia RSV Mile, the Ducati got sold after 2 years also when I moved to Australia as this helped fund the 6 months away.
I always liked Harleys and after 8-9 years of nearly killing myself riding Sports bikes I sold the RSV Mile and bought my First Harley an 883 Sportster with Apes and a 21" front wheel. This bike went through many transformations over the 3 years that I owned it, and ended up striped down with a jockey shift, no fenders, no electronics except a headlight and brake light.
After this I fancied something brand new and treated myself to a 2017 Sportster 1200 Roadster which I owned for a year and a half before I moved here to BC. Riding is something that is part of me so moving into the Motorcycle industry 3 years ago seemed like natural progression, I already had plenty of experience around Motorcycles and being able to combine my passion for Harleys and my work was a dream come true.
Fast forward to this time last year, when I decided to apply for a Visa to come to Canada and work, the ability to continue my career working for such a long standing and respected business like Trev Deeleys was too much of a good thing to miss. So here I am, nearly 3 months into living and working in Vancouver and it’s great.
I just can’t wait for the riding season to begin!
