The 3rd Annual Chrome for a Cure Is Revving Up for July 14
[Vancouver, BC, May 21, 2024] – As a tribute to loved ones lost to cancer and a commitment to making a difference in our province, Dritsas Real Estate Group and Trev Deeley Motorcycles proudly announce the third annual Chrome For A Cure charity event.
Combining a passion for cars and motorcycles, Chrome For A Cure is set to take place on July 14, 2024, at the Trev Deeley Motorcycles dealership located at 1875 Boundary Rd. in Vancouver.
While Chrome For a Cure traces back to a family's journey through loss, the event is a vibrant and positive one for the engine-loving community in Vancouver.
Bill Dritsas, founder of Dritsas Real Estate Group, experienced the impact of cancer firsthand when his wife passed away from the disease several years ago. Inspired by his son Michael Dritsas's idea to honor his mother's memory and raise funds for cancer research, the vision for Chrome For a Cure began to take shape.
As fate would have it, Bill lost his brother to cancer not long after. Now fueled by a desire to turn grief into action, the Dritsas family resolved that it was time to put on the event, and Chrome For A Cure was born.
"Chrome For a Cure is more than just a charity event; it's a testament to the power of love, remembrance, and collective action," said Bill Dritsas. "This event combines my passion for cars and motorcycles and is dedicated to the memory of my wife and brother, as well as to all those who have been affected by cancer. This event brings us together with friends and enthusiasts from all over to make a difference in the fight against cancer."
Chrome For a Cure promises a day of fun bringing together car enthusiasts, motorcycle riders, and supporters of the cause for a day of remembrance and fundraising. The event will feature a show and shine competition, where participants can showcase their prized cars and motorcycles at the Trev Deeley Motorcycles dealership. Attendees can also enjoy music, food, activities, and more—all in support of the BC Cancer Foundation.
"Since I’ve met them, I’ve seen that the Dritsas family is absolutely committed to honoring their loved ones and making a meaningful impact in the fight against cancer," said Geoff Gauthier, Marketing Manager at Trev Deeley Motorcycles. "Chrome For a Cure is really a testament to the strength of the automotive and motorcycle communities. We're honored to host this unique event."
Admission to Chrome For a Cure is free, with donations encouraged to support the BC Cancer Foundation's critical work.
