"I was in Ontario for 5 months after we got sent home from Europe on March 13th and had to quarantine at my parents house. When I was there we didn't have any plans with the team and everything was up in the air. My dad built me a home gym and it was a nice break from the city!

When I came back to Vancouver in August I was in the gym full time and it was great to see my improvements! Last winter was hard for me as I was returning from knee surgery. It was a year of recovery till I was allowed to compete and now that I'm approaching 2 years post op I have never felt better. I am so so happy with the results.

Right now I am quarantining in North Vancouver, I just got back from a 3 week training camp in Switzerland. It is strange traveling internationally right now, we have a lot of protocols to follow and we are monitoring for symptoms and doing temperature checks daily. The camp was amazing! We had a lot of time training on snow and because my knee feels so good I was really able to push the training and get the most out of it!

We are planning to have an on snow training camp at Panorama from November 5th - 13th. After that we will head to Europe on November 20th and train in Austria before competing in the World Cup in Austria on December 12th and then competing in the second World Cup in Italy on December 19th. After those races I will quarantine in Ontario over Christmas before the training camp we have scheduled in Sunshine.

It feels good to have a plan and a schedule! I am so happy to be healthy and strong and can't wait to race!"

" So right now I am in school for Digital Marketing. I am doing a 3 month diploma program ending Dec 18. While in school I am in the gym training and getting ready to join up with the World Cup tour in January. I will miss two stops while I am in school in December.

This summer despite Covid was a great opportunity for me to explore B.C on my brand new 2020 Softail Standard. Had some awesome trips got her broken in with now over 13000kms on it. Sadly my insurance is up until I renew next year. Time to focus on school and get ready for the 2021 Snowboard season."

IG June 19:"Still can’t believe this happened yesterday! @trevdeeleyhd has been my major sponsor for the past few years. They support the whole snowboard cross women’s team, put the girls through riding school and got me comfortable on bigger bike. Honestly without amazing companies like this, it is almost impossible for athletes to continue competing in sport. Thank you @ruthless229 for your belief and vision on our team. We have created a friggin rad partnership that will go beyond our snowboarding careers! So all you people out there that need some parts or want to get into riding, get your butt to @trevdeeleyhd and support a frigggin rad company! "

"Over the course of this summer I have continuously worked on my mental strength with a Sports Psychologist, and physically to be the most prepared to be not only the leading Canadian woman but a leading woman on the World Cup Circuit. A goal without a plan is just a dream, and I made sure to work on each goal individually to make these goals become reality. This year it is a goal to have a minimum of two podiums, with the main focus of a podium at the World Championships. This summer I proved my work ethic by starting my own landscaping business to help fund my season. “O’Dine Divine Lawn & Garden Care”, allowed me to be in control of my work and training schedule. As gyms remained closed, worked hard to be able to put together a small home gym area that would allow me to train all aspects needed as an Olympic Athlete.

My goals have not been shortened by Covid-19. Although it has made our calendar uncertain and finding local business funding more difficult. I believe it has made my teammates and I more appreciative of our opportunities to train together and overseas. The 9 days on snow in Saas-Fe, Switzerland, were not short of amazing training days. It was amazing to feel the mental and physical training pay off in the first few days getting back on the race snowboards, none the less it was interesting to be off the boards for 7-8 months.

My first 14-day isolation was definitely a learning experience. I am lucky to be able to have a small gym space in my home to be able to train over those days, it helped keep some sanity. It was a long 14 days inside, a challenge to the mentality training over the summer. Once November rolled around our first training camp in BC, Panorama is a familiar training ground for us. It was great to work on carving, start section, and more specific training our individual needs. My focus this year has been based on my individual strengths, how to better put them to use. I have picked out a few of my weaknesses, and how to build on each of them. It has been amazing using this time to focus on the mental aspects of picking apart yourself as a rider, and finding others individual strengths to apply to my own abilities.

With all of these in mind, I cannot be more excited to head back to Europe for the last block of training before our first World Cup in Austria.

I believe I have done the work needed to put myself on the path of winning medals this year. I believe I am a fierce competitor with the ability to challenge the leading women. I am physically and mentally at my strongest. I look forward to each event to put my hard work, excitement and abilities to the test."

"For this winter I will be continuing to ride mtn bikes in North Vancouver down below the snow line (with some random photo shoots) and will be snowboarding above the snowline with passes at Mt. Seymour, Cypress, Whistler/Blackcomb and SunPeaks. I will also be snowmobiling and splitboard touring to access some backcountry deep powder stashes and will be doing some POV video shooting at some Catboarding and Heliboarding operations.

In the past, I have also been on the mic announcing the BC Series Snowboardcross Tour, North American Snowboardcross Championships, the Canadian stop on the World Cup Snowboardcross Tour, Para-Snowboardcross World Cup and the North American stops on the Red Bull Crashed Ice-Cross Tour.

Last winter I also rode for a TV Show on Insight TV (w/ 100M viewers) sandboarding and mtn biking 3000' tall sand dunes in Chile (getting 10th place in the Sandboarding World Cup Finals) and shot some video for the biggest bike park in the Southern Hemisphere in Tasmania, Australia. This year is obviously different with the pandemic and I am still waiting to see what transpires. If the events get cancelled it means I will be exploring more BC mtns than ever! I am looking forward to shredding powder in the mornings and shredding dirt in the afternoons with the mtn bike in North Van.

This winter I am launching the Brett Tippie Podcast and have also partnered up to launch a new ebike website. Of course, I will be counting the days til I can go for a ride on the beautiful Harley Davidsons available at Trev Deeley on Boundary Rd. It's going to be an awesome winter!"
